Residentials

At Salcombe CE Primary School we currently offer residential experiences to all children in Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

The visits are as follows:

Year 2 - 1 night sleep over camping on the school field

Year 3/4 - 2 nights stay either at Balcombe Camp Young Spirit in Dittisham or Heatree House on Dartmoor.

Year 5/6 - 3 nights stay either at Potheridge House in Oakhampton or in London doing different sightseeing activities.

The aims of these visits are:

1. To introduce children to a variety of environmental and outdoor activities.
2. To develop important life skills; including team building and taking responsibilty for themselves and others.
3. To build self confidence, self esteem and to independently achieve.
4. To become more independent and confident as individuals.
