At Salcombe Church of England Primary School, we follow the DT Association’s Projects on a Page scheme, ensuring a creative, practical, and inspiring approach to Design & Technology.

Aligned with our Sailing to Success values, this scheme encourages pupils to think critically, solve real-world problems, and develop resilience through hands-on projects. Each unit is designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and technical skills, helping children become confident designers and problem-solvers.

Through engaging activities in mechanisms, structures, textiles, electrical systems, and food technology, pupils explore design thinking, iterative processes, and practical application. The curriculum promotes perseverance, teamwork, and curiosity, ensuring children develop the skills needed to design, create, and evaluate with confidence.
