Devon CAP (keeping our children safe)

At Salcombe Church of England Primary School we take the safety and well being of our children very seriously. This is one of the reasons that we work with Devon CAP on a 3 year rolling programme.

Devon Child Assault Prevention Project is a school based programme that offers education, guidance and support by giving children positive messages on how they can protect themselves. They work with the whole school community - children, parents/carers and staff, to build on children's strengths and empower them. Their workshops, which take place with in the school day provide children with the abilty to recognise unsafe situations and the confidence to act on them, so that they can stay safe, strong and free.

In the last nineteen years CAP has worked with over 70% of schools in South Devon.
