On Thursday 11th the children were invited down to the unveiling of the new in-shore lifeboat by the RNLI. The whole school enjoyed visiting the museum, being shown around the workings of the off-shore lifeboat and actually being able to sit on the brand new in-shore one. The children had an amazing time, they have learnt a lot about what is takes to look after the lifeboats and what it would be like when the crew ‘get the call’. We would like to thank Chris, Sam and everyone at RNLI Salcombe Station for their time and inviting us down. Thank you to the parent volunteers who helped us to walk down and up; without you we would not have been able to go.
