Class 2 - Hazels

On Friday 8th June, Hazel Class went on a beach clean on some of the beaches around Salcombe. We found all sorts of bits of rubbish including pieces of rope, plastic packets and drinks bottles. We all agreed that we were shocked by the amount of rubbish that was there and some children wanted to come back and find some more another day!

Hazel Class Easter Performance

Hazel Class Easter Performance

On Wednesday 27th March, Hazel Class did their Easter performance at the Holy Trinity Church in Salcombe. Well done to all of the children for their hard work and determination that they brought to rehearsals and our performance - what a fantastic show! Thank you to all of the parents and families who offered their help and to those that came along to support their child!

Hazel Class RNLI Trip

The children in Hazel Class had a fantastic time visiting the RNLI  in Salcombe today. They were able to look at the different boats, try on some of the helmets and life jackets that the crew wear and even feel like navigators when they went aboard the large lifeboard that was on the water! The children also enjoyed being able to visit the museum where they learnt all about the history of the Salcombe lifeboats and their crew.

The Iron Man - Bringing Chapter One to life through drama

After reading the first chapter of the Iron Man, the children worked in teams to create their own performances to show what happened. They were only allowed to use their bodies to represent the different objects and characters in the story. It was particularly challenging to show the Iron Man falling down the cliff, breaking apart and scattering across the beach.

Our Harvest Festival

The children in Hazel Class worked really hard to create a show stopping performance of The Enormous Turnip! We thought that this story taught us all about the importance of sharing our wonderful food at Harvest. Well done to Hazel Class for your incredible efforts at singing and acting, you performed with such enthusiasm and heart.

Thank you to everyone who came to watch and for creating such wonderful costumes.
