Letters To Santa

After our Christmas Craft Morning the children had a thought about what they would like for Christmas. We wrote letters to Santa thinking whether they are on the good list and thinking about what their family might like. We walked to the post box, made a wish and posted our letters hoping he will receive them on time.

Autumn Term 2016

A very warm welcome to the children in Class 2. We have had a very exciting start to the term learning about our topic, Africa, linking it to Art and Geography. The children have been learning about the different countries and landmarks in Africa, to help us with our understanding of it being a continent we have made a large version of Africa showing each country as a different colour.

In English we have been reading the story of The Lion King, this again links to our topic of Africa. We have learnt lots of new grammar skills that we can use in our writing to make it more exciting and engaging for a reader.

Keep coming back to see what else we get up to in Class 2!

Recently Class 2 and 3 enjoyed a day out at North Sands beach. We were lucky enough to enjoy some beautiful weather and we were also lucky enough to have Nigel Mortimer accompany us. Mr Mortimer is the Marine Conservation Officer for the Kingsbridge and Salcombe Estuary. He has a wealth of knowledge about the marine wildlife in the area and the children really enjoyed searching rock pools to see what evidence of wildlife they could find.
